I want to give a shout out to long time clients, Pam and Margaret, at American Music School, who connected me to Alan Wyngarden of Applewood Our House. In helping AMS refinance their commercial loan, I was also able to get the excess land carved out so they could sell it to Alan. Alan was building a new Lakewood location for AOH. Pam and Margaret told Alan he should talk to their banker, who they really liked. Alan took them up on it and I was able to put together an SBA loan for the new location construction and semi-perm loan. We then refinanced the all the other locations. By our team packaging it all up, Alan was then able to refinance into an even better arrangement, with limited recourse. It's been seven years since I first met Alan, and we're still doing business today. Alan has also been gracious with his time and knowledge, sharing both with a good friend I sent his way, who was looking for investment opportunities in the elder-care space.
